This month I worked on my unit for social studies. This unit took me multiple attempts and a lot of feedback to get the unit to where I want it. It let me realize a lot about how I want my units in my classroom to be prepared, because I want to make sure I am continuing on with my standards and following along with the main objective of the unit. I have been reviewing my edTPA handbook outside of the classroom. There is a lot in there! I am working on understanding and familiarizing myself with the rubrics in the handbook so I can receive the highest possible score on edTPA next semester. For NCTCS standard 1, I have reviewed a lot on "teachers demonstrate high ethical standards". It is important we are portraying an image that is of high ethical standards, especially in from of peers and students.

ReplyDeleteJust as Samantha said I always enjoy reading and viewing your blogs. They look amazing. Your going to have to teach me. lol I know this has been a rough semester and I to had to work on my unit a couple times but I am so glad I got the feedback I did. It really helped me. I love the EDTPA handbook, that book is so helpful. I wish you the best in the upcoming semester. Hard work pays off.
Brittany, I am glad you are focused on student teaching. I hope the unit feedback helped you to move your work to a point where you are comfortable.
