This month has had a lot going on! Between clinicals, field trips, coursework, and everyday lives this semester is in full swing now! The biggest project I worked on was my leadership and collaboration project. This was an exhausting project with extensive research. I learned a lot about my school and the demographics of the school and schools around me. In social studies I have started my CB unit which is a lot to do as well! In my clinical placement I have had many chances to step up and be a leader. According to NCTCS standard one, teachers demonstrate leadership, I have shown I can be a leader! Between having the students on my own in class for a certain period of time, to helping the substitute throughout the day, to field trips, and lunch bunch I have shown I can be a teacher leader.
Outside of class, I have researched GRASPS and SAMR a lot this month. GRASPS is where there is a goal, a reason, an audience, a situation, a product, and a standard to meet this. I have grown to love GRASPS for my classroom because it is more of a hands on learning experience for my future students. SAMR is all about integrating technology into lesson and how that technology is added. I think technology is an important part of lessons because there is so many wonderful things we can do with technology and it directly relates to students daily lives.
Here are TTOTW for twitter.
Brittany, Glad to see you are continuing to research GRASPS and SAMR outside of class. I hope you are continuing to learn about how these perspectives can deepen student learning.
